In 2026, major environmental protection standards in Europe, North America, and China have been further tightened, forcing traditional sealant manufacturers to phase out high-pollution, high-volatile product lines and accelerate the iteration of environmentally friendly silicone sealant products.
Traditional acetoxy and solvent-based sealants release a large number of volatile organic compounds during construction and curing, which not only pollute indoor and outdoor air but also pose potential hazards to construction workers’ health and the ecological environment. In contrast, the newly upgraded low-VOC silicone sealants launched by leading enterprises in 2026 achieve near-zero volatile emissions through formula optimization and green raw material replacement.
